What is SUP and why is everyone doing it?

SUP stands for Stand Up Paddleboarding.

Stand Up Paddle surfboards are much longer, wider and more buoyant than 'normal' surfboards, allowing you to effortlessly balance on them and propel yourself along the water with the paddle. SUP is a relaxing, low impact and easy to learn activity that is a fun way to enjoy the outdoors and water.

The best thing about SUP? Once you get the hang of it, it is a lifelong activity! One session on the water and you will be hooked and paddling for life.

SUP originated in Hawaii and has become immensely popular in the past 5-10 years, with celebrities like Kate Hudson, Rhianna, Julia Roberts and Ben Affleck getting involved!

Because the rider is standing high over the water, SUP allows you to see deeper into the water and further across the water, giving you the chance to check out marine life and get a new perspective of the beach!
